The personal sense of destiny is the result of the believer putting on the "new man"

In our continuing study of the Personal Sense of Destiny, last time we saw that the more doctrine one learns, the more one's thoughts are of God and his plan, purpose and will.

There is no sustainable personal love for God until there is a personal sense of destiny. A personal sense of destiny and occupation with Christ combine to form the greatest life, because the believer is having fellowship with God.

This fellowship is only possible when the believer is thinking the thoughts of Christ because that is the only way that the believer can have communion with God. Rev 3:20; Psa 85:10; John 8:31-32;

Fellowship or communion with God is when the believer is functioning under the control of God the Holy Spirit and is executing the protocol plan of God and gaining momentum from perception of Bible doctrine.

Fellowship with God enables the believer to have fellowship with people because the impersonal love required for fellowship with people is based in one's personal love for God that comes from the Personal Sense of Destiny.

With a personal sense of destiny, Divine viewpoint thinking replaces cosmic thinking.

2Cor 10:4-5; "For the weapons with which we fight are not the weapons of this world, on the contrary they have divine power to demolish fortresses.

v5 We demolish speculations with Bible doctrine circulating in our stream of consciousness and every arrogant thing that sets itself up against the knowledge of God, and we bring every thought into captivity to make it obedient to Christ."

The clothing analogy of the spiritual life describes the development of the personal sense of destiny.

Eph 4:23-24; "and that you be renewed by agency of the Spirit by means of your way of thinking,

v24 and clothe yourself with the new man (through a personal sense of destiny), which on the basis of the will of God has been created by means of (spiritual capacity) righteousness and holiness of life (the utilization of the power options and spiritual skills) from the absolute truth (Bible doctrine)."

A personal sense of destiny always looks forward, never backward and focuses on the objectives rather than the distractions. It recognizes the absolute truth in the New Testament and functions under the elative conclusion that the divine solutions are the only solutions because they are based on absolute truth.

Being renewed by the agency of the Spirit refers to the filling of the Spirit. The filling of the Holy Spirit is direct agency from heaven empowering believers to execute the protocol plan of God.

Indirect power from heaven is the power of doctrine that has been transferred from the written page of Scripture to the believer's soul and the believer becomes the communication. 2Cor 3:2-3;

The new spiritual person is the result of the thinking that comes from living in the sophisticated spiritual life. In the analogy the new man or new suit is located in a closet. The closet represents your very own portfolio of invisible assets and spiritual life. You have a new set of clothing, a new suit, hanging in the closet.

We are to take this new suit with it's personal sense of destiny out of the closet, put it on, and wear it. Putting on the new set of clothing is a metaphor for the spiritual life that results in the attainment of the personal sense of destiny.

The sophisticated spiritual life demands sophisticated clothing. The sophisticated clothing is the life beyond gnosis (Eph 3:19), the life beyond expectation (Eph 3:20), and a personal sense of destiny.

The new man utilizes the two power options (filling of the Holy Spirit and metabolization of doctrine) and is consistent in the application of the three spiritual skills.

The new man in which we are clothed is the personal sense of destiny of the new spiritual life, it is the sophisticated spiritual life. In the portfolio of invisible assets, that came from the divine initiative of antecedent grace in eternity past, every believer was given their very own spiritual life.

Every believer has the closet with their very own portfolio of invisible assets and their personal sense of destiny is hanging in their closet that they are to put on.

Fulfilling the divine mandate to clothe or dress yourself with the new man is the divine command to deploy a personal sense of destiny on the FLOT line of your soul.

The believer who fails to advance never puts on the new clothing of the spiritual life and is still running around in the old clothes that are controlled by the old sin nature.

The personal sense of destiny has been created for us by the sovereign will of God and is available only by the development of spiritual capacity righteousness through the function of the three spiritual skills.

Blessing from the sophisticated spiritual life requires spiritual capacity righteousness, this blessing is not dependent on the circumstances of life because the source of this blessing is God himself and it is conveyed through the grace pipeline.

The personal sense of destiny cannot function unless you understand the uniqueness of the Church Age with all of its grace assets.

The personal sense of destiny cannot function unless you understand and utilize the assets of your very own portfolio of invisible assets.

The personal sense of destiny cannot function unless you understand the divine initiative of antecedent grace in eternity past and all that has been provided for you right now.

The personal sense of destiny cannot function unless you understand the divine initiative of eschatological grace for time and for the eternal future.

The personal sense of destiny cannot function until you understand and consistently utilize the spiritual skills.

The personal sense of destiny cannot function unless you avoid the distraction of the arrogance skills.

We see a discussion of the personal sense of destiny in. 2Cor 4.

2Cor 4:6; "For the God (Holy Spirit) who said, `Light shine out from the darkness.' He is the One who has shined in our hearts face to face with the light (enlightenment) of the knowledge of the glory of God in the person (face) of Christ."

"God" here is a reference to God the Holy Spirit, the One who restored the earth for man's occupancy that is a reference to Gen 1:3;

God the Holy Spirit, the One who made light shine out of darkness, is the same One who makes Bible doctrine ("the light") shine in the believer's stream of consciousness because the Holy Spirit is the teacher of doctrine.

God the Holy Spirit makes the Lord Jesus Christ shine out in our thinking. The Christian way of life begins with knowledge of the unique function of the unglorified humanity of TLJC during the dispensation of the hypostatic union.

2Cor 4:7-10; "Furthermore we have this treasure in jars of clay (human bodies), that the surpassing greatness of the power may be from the source of God and not from the source of ourselves;

v8 in every way we are under adversity, but not under stress; we are perplexed, but not despairing;

v9 persecuted, but not forsaken; struck down, but not destroyed;

v10 always carrying about in the body the dying of Jesus, that the life of Jesus may also be manifested in our body."

What is inside of your soul is a private matter between you and God and only becomes visible as your spiritual life develops.

The "surpassing greatness of the power" is the fact that God has given us His power in our very own portfolio of invisible assets. The spiritual life functions only on divine power. It is the same power that raised Jesus Christ from the dead.
