In our study of the doctrine of freedom. John 8:32: Gal 5:1; We have noted that positive volition to any aspect of God's Word of truth creates freedom because God imputes grace through the divine decree to bless positive volition to truth and discipline negative volition to truth. Lam 3:21-23; James 4:6;
We noted that positive volition to divine establishment truth provides for temporal human freedom, positive volition toward the truth of the Gospel creates spiritual freedom and positive volition to the truth of Bible Doctrine creates experiential spiritual freedom and spiritual advance.
We see from this that establishment truth is what establishes freedom within the national entity in the midst of the chaos of the devil's world.
Under the principles of divine establishment every person has free volition so they have the right to be wrong but when their negative volition metastases to the point they meddle with and violate the God given freedom, privacy or property of others their free negative volition becomes criminal.
The internal enemy of freedom in the national entity is criminality and the external enemy of freedom in the national entity is criminal nations operating in power lust.
Free nations lose their internal freedom to criminals as their citizens reject truth and refuse or neglect to defend it because of negative volition to truth. This loss of freedom occurs incrementally in cycles until the nation is weakened to the point where predator nations can attack and left unanswered defeat the previously free nation in warfare.
Last time we left off in our study at the Fifth Cycle of Discipline noted in Lev 26:27-38; where the client nation's citizens are scattered and foreigners occupy the territory.
We noted that the Jewish people suffered under the fifth cycle of discipline three times and for the most part they remain in exile during the Church Age.
Lev 26:34; "Then the land will satisfy its Sabbaths . . . while you are in the land of your enemies the land will be paid its Sabbaths because no one was there to work it.
This is specific to the Jewish Southern Kingdom where the Jewish people had ignored seventy Sabbatical years of the ritual plan, and as a result God placed them into slavery for seventy years.
v35 "All the days of its desolation (fifth cycle) it will observe the rest which it did not observe in your sabbatical years while you were living in the land." These verses are unique to Israel because of their failure to comply with the mandates in their ritual plan to observe the Sabbaths. Lev 25:4-5;
Lev 26:36; "As for those of you who survive (the fifth cycle), I will make them so afraid in the lands of their enemies that the sound of a wind-blown leaf will put them into flight. In fact, when no one is pursuing, they will run as though fleeing from an army, and they will fall even when no one is pursuing."
Lev 26:37, "Furthermore, they will fall over each other as if fleeing from the sword, although no one is pursuing them; you will be so fearful that you will have no strength to resist your enemies."
Everybody just runs for their life and gets mowed down. "No strength" means no moral courage, no military establishment for freedom, and no patriotic motivation.
In the fifth cycle of discipline capacity for accurate thought has been lost to the point where it is too late to recover before being defeated and there are not even enough people with establishment thought remaining to mount any resistance against the assault of the predator nation.
Lev 26:38, "But you will perish among the nations, and the land of your enemies will devour you." The enemies of the Jews included Assyria, Babylon, and Rome.
Deut 28:49-67; is another passage containing another disgusting description of what occurs to a nation during the fifth cycle of discipline because they have rejected God's Word of truth.
Isaiah warned the Northern Kingdom and Jeremiah warned the Southern Kingdom of the administration of the fifth cycle of discipline to both of these nations.
Jesus Christ personally warned the Jews in Judea of the impending fifth cycle of discipline because of their negative volition to God's Word that resulted in their rejection of Him as Messiah.
Luke 19:41-44; tells us that Jesus actually wept over Jerusalem because He knew what was going to happen to them because of their chronic locked in negative volition to truth.
God explains why He administers the cycles of discipline in Hosea 4:1-6 ; The passage is addressed to believers because in the final analysis, it is the believers who are responsible for the rise or fall of the client nation.
Hosea 4:1; "Listen to the word of the Lord, you citizens of Israel (Northern Kingdom) because the Lord has a case (indictment) against the inhabitants of the client nation, because nothing of doctrine is taught, nothing about grace is being applied; there is no knowledge of God in the land."
Just as God had an indictment against the Jewish client nations, today He has an indictment against the United States of America as a Gentile client nation.
"Because nothing of doctrine is taught." There is no demand for Bible teaching in a time of apostasy because of negative volition. As a result, "nothing of grace is being applied." Grace and doctrinal truth go together.
When truth has been rejected the lie that replaces it sucks in the cycles of discipline are sucked into the vacuum that is created. Hosea 8:7;
Hosea 4:2; "Instead, there is swearing (dishonesty), deception, homicide, stealing, and adultery, therefore "blood touches blood" ( an idiom for perpetual violence)."
Hosea 4:3; "Therefore, the land mourns, and all who live in it languish along with the beasts of the field and the birds of the air."
"The land mourns" means the people are miserable because they have no capacity for happiness because they have rejected truth that creates capacity for happiness.
Nothing is satisfying in life. Social life, business life, and spiritual life are gone; there is nothing but abject misery because of the rejection of truth.
"All who live in it languish" means loss of national courage, patriotism, vitality, and strength. When people suffer animals also suffer because some people become viciously cruel when living under unrestrained OSN control of the soul.
Hosea 4:4; "Let no one accuse or blame others (as in crusader arrogance and the evil of activism); You are like those who argue with and reject the authority of the priests (communicators of truth)."
Criticism is blaming others for your problems rather and taking personal responsibility for them . Believers must take personal responsibility because it is negative volition and a shrinking pivot that creates this self induced adversity.
Those who reject the truth that is being communicated are responsible for their negative volition. Isa 5:20-23;
Hosea 4:5; "You stumble by day and night and the false prophets stumble with you I will destroy your native country (motherland).
"Stumbling by day" means involvement in the lies of satanic thinking, including crusader arrogance. Daylight means becoming a loser by rejecting God's Word of truth after hearing it, or failing to apply truth that is presented because of unbelief from negative volition.
"And even the prophet will stumble with you" means prophets become false prophets and make things worse by teaching lies.
Today, thousands of pastors speak of "`peace and prosperity,' but there is no peace and prosperity," just as they said in Jeremiah's day, Jer 6:14; Jer 8:11; Ezek 13:10, 16;
Today, pastors peddle false doctrines like the lies of social justice, economic equality and reformation theology while the United States continues to decline because there is very little truth being taught.
