Heb 12:2; Rev 2:7; The doctrine of the winner part 58

Lam 3:21 -25; I recall this (doctrine) to my mind, and it gives me confidence. Because The Lord's mercy never fails; His grace provisions never cease, they are renewed every morning; Great is Your faithfulness... Therefore I have hope in Him. The Lord is good to those who wait silently on Him.

In our study of the doctrine of the winner believer. Heb 12:2; Rev 2:7; Winner believers are the unknown, unsung heroes of history. 2Cor 6:9; who are the targets of God's grace imputations and the reason that God continues to support the human race.

We are now in a segment where we are discussing the doctrine of church age spirituality that is based on the indwelling and filling ministries of God the Holy Spirit.

When we stopped last time we were noting the present passive imperative of the verb "pleroo" translated "filled" in Eph 5:18;

We noted that the passive voice indicates that the believer receives the action of the verb from God the Holy Spirit.

This filling initially occurs at salvation when God the Holy Spirit enters every new believer into His operational spiritual power system. This is one of His seven ministries that occur at salvation.

After salvation it occurs when believers who have been ejected from God's spiritual power system because of personal sin use God's non-meritorious grace based reentry procedure, the problem-solving device of rebound to be restored.

In both cases the believer receives the action of the verb on the basis of grace and faith totally apart from any human merit or human good.

Recovery is by grace and faith alone. No system of human good in the form of guilt, penance, reform or any other form of human production can resolve the problem because in the status of carnal cosmic death the believer is residing in satan's cosmic system under OSN control of the soul so the believer can do nothing that the justice of God can accept without violating His perfect Holiness.

The imperative mood is a mandate to enter into and remain inside God's spiritual power system, and when expelled to recover by simply acknowledging any known sin to God alone.

The Greek preposition "en" plus the instrumental of agency from "pneuma" means "by means of the Spirit." "Be filled with (by means of) the Spirit." Net note 26

A related command in 2Pet 3:18; for believers to "Grow in grace and in the knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ..." explains what occurs in the believer's soul as the result of being filled with the fullness of God by means of the Spirit.

Rom 8:1-8; teaches the law of carnality versus the law of spirituality.
