The doctrine of doctrinal orientation part 24
Youtube video: https://youtu.be/WWSfVdwtV7g
We are presently in a study of the doctrine of the winner believer Heb 12:2; Rev 2:7; those who are not of the world John 17:16; and whom the world does not deserve Heb 11:37-40; who are the unknown, unsung heroes of history who testify of the veracity of God's perfect integrity in the spiritual darkness of the devil's world during God's prosecution of satan and the fallen angels. 2Cor 6:9;
Winners are those who become the targets of God's grace imputations because they have capacity from believing God's word of truth with the result that they become the ones who God sustains to press His doctrinal advance in the spiritual death of the devil's world because God has unfailing integrity love for every person who is enslaved by satan and desires each one to be saved. 1Tim 2:4;
In the present segment of our study of the winner we have seen that it is the winner's doctrinal viewpoint that creates capacity for grace imputation. When the believer's viewpoint is based on God's Word of truth, truth becomes the target for the imputation of God's grace that is the only basis for freedom, prosperity and happiness.
Last time we noted that believers can fail to apply doctrine to experience when they become only a hearer of God's word that results from the failure to believe the doctrine so that it is not metabolized and is therefore unavailable for problem solving.
Believers can also fail to apply doctrine when they reject doctrine and deceive themselves because of the subjectivity of the arrogance skills of self-justification and self-absorption that leads to self-deception and the resultant denial and projection of their own faults onto others.
Chronic rejection of God's Word inevitably results in self-destruction. It starts with personal destruction Prov 16:18; that leads to a blackout of the soul that results in the inversion of thought that left unchecked leads to an emotional cosmic consensus that results in national destruction because the doctrines of demons replace God's Word of truth as the basis of their decision making.
We can presently see this inversion of thought occurring in our nation and God warns us about it. Isa 5:20-23; NET note 51
This inversion of thought is why a client nations fall as described in Hosea 4:1-6; that was written about 721 BC just before the Assyrians destroyed the northern kingdom of Israel, carried them away into captivity and resettled their land with foreigners. Since God's Word is immutable the same principles apply to our nation nearly 3000 years later.
v1 The word "listen" is translated from the imperative of the Hebrew verb "shama" that means recognize the authority of and give a hearing to the one who is teaching, and to concentrate on what is being communicated.
"Shama" is equivalent to the daily function of learning God's Word under the mentorship of God the Holy Spirit through the use of God's Grace Apparatus for Spiritual Perception (GASP). It means to obey, to recognize authority of, to concentrate on and to accept as true (believe),
The concentration is to be directed toward "the Word of the Lord" or doctrine from the Lord. "Sons of Israel" addresses this to the citizens of the northern kingdom at the time that Hosea wrote it.
"For the Lord has a case against the inhabitants of the land." The case against them has to do with the fact that God had established Israel to be the custodians of the seed of the woman and His Word of truth that would result in their being an example of the freedom, privacy and prosperity that results from being the recipients of God's grace but they have rejected God and His Word.
God's case against them had to do with the fact that the believers in Israel had neglected Bible doctrine with the result that the nation was suffering under the unintended consequences that automatically resulted from their collective chronic negative volition to truth. 2Cor 13:8;
Hosea 4:1b; KJV The first half of God's case against them is expressed as having "no doctrine" or "no truth." The word for truth is the Hebrew noun "emeth" refers to Bible doctrine. Under the pivot principle Bible doctrine is the believer's lifeline to God's grace provision that extends to the nation under the principle of blessing by association.
Jesus Christ controls history and under God's grace policy He never permits a nation to be destroyed until there is no possibility for recovery because of their implacable hatred for truth (Cosmic 2). The Hebrew word for "case" refers to a lawsuit. This is a lawsuit that will be adjudicated in the supreme court of heaven.
On the basis of God's unfailing love that is expressed in His grace policy we earn or deserve nothing we function exclusively on the basis of His grace because apart from His grace we are nothing.
The next word is the Hebrew noun "checed" translated as " kindness" in the NASB and "loyalty" in the NET and "love" in the NIV. It is telling us that when there is no doctrine there is no grace because there is no unconditional integrity love instead there is self-righteous arrogance and self justification that is expressed in self- justification, self-deception, legalism and tyranny. 2Tim 3:5-9; NET
