Gal 6:14; But may it never be that I would boast, except in the cross of our Lord Jesus Christ, through which the world has been crucified to me, and I to the world.

Last time we concluded our study of doctrinal orientation so now we will take up a study of the doctrine of the system that satan uses to keep mankind deceived and enslaved in his attempt to establish and maintain control over humanity and establish utopia on the earth before Jesus Christ returns. John 8:44; Rev 12:9; 2Cor 11:14-15;

We refer to satan's system as the cosmic system because God's Word refers to it using the Greek word "kosmos" translated world. 1John 2:16-17; Gal 6:14; 1Cor 6:2;

The Greek word "kosmos" can be used to describe an ordered structure so it is used to describe the physical arrangement of the stars and planets or the order of the physical earth.

In our study the word is used in a theological context to describe the "world system" aka the "cosmic system" that describes satan's organized system of godless standards where people who are separated from God function apart from God in the production of human good and evil.

In this context the cosmic system refers to the system that is comprised of satan's strategy as the ruler of this world to control unbelievers and try to control believers. It is made up of his policies for ruling over the humans who inhabit the earth.

Because spiritual death and the OSN result in separation from God the cosmic system is the place that everyone who is born starts. Psa 51:5; Eph 2:12;

Because Cain rejected God he and his descendents were the human founders of the anti-deluvian cosmic system. Gen 4:16; The Hebrew word "nod" means wandering.

Cain was "of the devil" so he wandered away from and established a cultural system that was in opposition to God and His policy of grace and truth. 1John 3:12-13;

God's Word does not tell us much about this initial satanic civilization but it does tell us that it led to the entire population of the earth being deceived and becoming so violent that God destroyed them with the flood. Gen 6:10-13;

The descendants of Ham reestablished a variant of this system after the flood. Gen 10:6-8;

Ham's son Cush was the father of Nimrod who became the human leader of the first satanic attempt to rebel against God and establish a world government with a concentrated population center where people were controlled under satan's supervision.

Satan's objective was for there to be a centralization of power in opposition to God's mandate for the survivors of the flood to procreate and disperse as their numbers grew thereby populating the entire earth.

When populations are concentrated people tend to rely and depend on human leaders and human governmental systems rather than on God for their needs but human government and human leaders cannot provide for them. Jer 17:5-8;

These unrealistic expectations are the basis of satan's cosmic system that is comprised of two power systems that operate in synergy.

Cosmic one is Satan's exploitation of mankind through arrogance. Arrogance is thinking that you can do or be something that you are not. Satan invented arrogance because arrogance was his original sin. Ezek 28:12-17;
