We are in a study of Satan's cosmic system that is a system of thinking that is the basis of the thinking of the entire human race that is comprised of lies and deceit in their natural soulish state apart from God in spiritual death. 1Cor 2:14;
Last time we noted that for the unbeliever, the laws of divine establishment provide a certain amount of protection from cosmic influence.
In addition to the limited protection provided by the laws of divine establishment the believer who establishes residence, function, and momentum inside the divine dynasphere has unlimited protection.
God's Word tells us that Satan is the author and ruler of the cosmic system, John 12:31; John 14:30; John 16:11; 2Cor 4:4; Eph 2:2;
The phrase "sons of disobedience" refers to those who persistently reside and function in Satan's cosmic system to the point where their norms and standards for life are defined by the priorities of Satan's cosmic system.
Eph 4:26; tells us that the emotional sin of anger is a gateway from the arrogance of cosmic 1 into the hatred of cosmic 2.
We saw that anger was Cain's motivation. Gen 4:5-8;
Eph 4:27; commands believers to stay out of satan's cosmic system. "Do not give the devil an opportunity." The believer who gets into the cosmic system through personal sin and remains there will produce human good and evil.
Remaining in the cosmic system gives the devil an opportunity to bring the believer to the point of being a loser through their persistent function under moral or immoral degeneracy. The only way a believer gets out of the cosmic system is through the self-evaluation of rebound. 1John 1:9;
James 4:6-8; addresses the issue of spiritual living versus cosmic living:
v6"But He (God the Father) gives to us greater grace ( the unique assets of Church Age); therefore it ( the Old Testament) says in Prov 3:34;) "God makes war against the arrogant, but He gives grace to the humble.
v7 Submit, therefore, to God. Resist the devil and he will flee from you.
v8 Draw near to God and He will draw near to you. Cleanse your hands, you sinning ones. You who are uncertain make decisions on the basis of God's righteous standards.
The Church Age is unique because the spiritual power given to the Church is the same power that Jesus Christ used while he was on the earth in his unglorified humanity in hypostatic union.
Everything about the Church Age is unique. Never before in history has 100% of divine omnipotence been made available to every believer.
Only in the Church Age does every believer receive the baptism of the Spirit that transforms them into a new spiritual species and membership in God's royal family.
Only in the Church Age is the universal priesthood of the believer, the portfolio of invisible assets, the divine dynasphere.
Never before in history has God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit indwelt the body of believers.
Never before in history have believers been commanded to grow in grace by being filled with the Spirit.
Because of all of these assets God's protocol plan for the Church is far different from His ritual plan for Israel.
All this means that as a Church Age believer you have the greatest power for problem solving that exists in all of human history.
The problem-solving device of integrity-love is unique to God's power system. Possessing God's own happiness in spiritual maturity is the highest and greatest use of power ever to exist in all of human history as a problem-solving device is actually sharing God's happiness.
The highest problem-solving device for believers in the Old Testament was using the faith rest drill to apply doctrinal rationales. All of these additional assets are what the greater grace (megas charis) of James 4:6; refer to.
God makes war against arrogant born-again believers. God blesses every believer on a daily basis through logistical grace by sustaining them and keeping them alive in the adverse circumstances of the devil's world.
