We are in a study of Satan's cosmic system that is a system of thinking that is the basis of the thinking of the entire human race that is comprised of lies and deceit in their natural soulish state apart from God in spiritual death . 1Cor 2:14;
We were noting 1Pet 5:1-11; that describes the function of the local assembly for the purpose of the communication of God's Word of truth. The first four verses address the pastor; the remaining seven address the congregation.
Last time we left off in 1Pet 5:7; " throwing all of our cares on Him (a function of faith-rest) because He cares for you."
Like rebound, faith-rest is a trans-dispensational problem-solving device so it is functional in the protocol plan of God for the church just like it was during the ritual plan of God for Israel.
A good translation of the Greek word "epirrhipto" that is translated "cast" in most translations is "throw". Net note 12
v8, "Be alert (doctrinal awareness from spiritual self-esteem). Your enemy, the devil, prowls around like a roaring lion looking for someone to devour (by means of the cosmic system)."
v9, "Resist him, standing firm in the doctrine, because you know that your fellow Christians throughout the world are experiencing the same kind of suffering."
Suffering for blessing occurs when you resist the devil by developing momentum from the application of metabolized doctrine under the enabling power of the Spirit inside God's spiritual power system.
v10, "And after you have suffered a little, the God of all grace, who called you into His eternal glory in Christ, will Himself make you complete (spiritual maturity); He will stabilize you (through evidence testing); He will make you strong (as a result of passing evidence testing); and establish you (maximum impact of the mature believer)."
v11, "To Him be the power forever and ever, Amen."
The power is the omnipotence of God the Father related to the portfolio of invisible assets, the omnipotence of Jesus Christ related to the perpetuation of human history, and the omnipotence of the Holy Spirit who empowers God's spiritual power system.
We have noted that God's spiritual power system aka the "divine dynasphere" is God's factory for the manufacture of believers who glorify God and are blessed by His plan and become "winners.".
Satan's cosmic system satan's factory for the manufacture of believers who reject God and his plan with the result that they lose out on God's blessing and become "losers."
This concept is described in 1Cor 3:12-15; Gold, silver, and precious stones refer to the believer's production in God's spiritual power system and wood, hay and straw refer to the believer's production in satan's cosmic system.
In cosmic one the believer grieves the Holy Spirit. Eph 4:30,"Stop grieving the Holy Spirit of God, by whom you were sealed for the day of redemption."
In cosmic two, the believer quenches the Holy Spirit, 1Thes 5:19; "Stop quenching the Spirit."
The believer is described as being filled with the Spirit, Eph 5:18; and walking by means of the Spirit, Gal 5:16; when living inside the divine dynasphere.
But when the believer sins they enter into the cosmic system where they quench the Spirit if they judge themselves by simply by agreeing with God and acknowledging any known sin they immediately exit the cosmic system.
Grieving the Spirit is the result of prolonged residence in satan's cosmic system that results in instability because the believer's prolonged exposure to the cosmic system has corrupted their thinking by demon doctrine to the point that they are no longer certain that God's Word of truth is actually truth and they become "double minded". James 1:8;
God's Word classifies believers who are in satan's cosmic system in the following six categories:
Enemies of the cross, Phil 3:18;
Enemies God, James 4:4;
Haters of God, John 15:23;
Anti-Christ (against Christ), 1 John 2:18,22; 1John 4:3; 2 John 7;
Carnal (OSN control of the soul), Rom 8:7; 1Cor 3:3;
Double-minded, James 4:8;
God's Word describes the soul of the cosmic believer in cosmic one as being "blacked out" and in cosmic two as being "hard" because of damage by "scar tissue."
God classifies every "human good work" that the believer performs while in the cosmic system as wood, hay, and straw that will be burned when the believer' works are evaluated by our Lord Jesus Christ. 1Cor 3:12b;
Because of the faithfulness of God's unfailing integrity love the cosmic believer is irrevocably saved and going to heaven when they die in spite of their epic failure in time. Rom 11:29; Rom 8:38-39; 2Tim 2:13; 1Cor 3:15;
