Rom 8:2-6; For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus has set you free from the law of sin and of death.
v3 For what the Law could not do, weak as it was through the flesh, God did: sending His own Son in the likeness of sinful flesh and as an offering for sin, He condemned sin in the flesh,
v4 so that the requirement of the Law might be fulfilled in us, who do not walk according to the flesh but according to the Spirit.
v5 For those who are according to the flesh set their minds on the things of the flesh, but those who are according to the Spirit, the things of the Spirit.
v6 For the mind set on the flesh is death, but the mind set on the Spirit is life and peace,
Heb 11:6; And without faith it is impossible to please Him, for he who comes to God must believe that He is and that He is a rewarder of those who seek Him.
Heb 10:38; But My righteous one shall live by faith; And if he shrinks back, My soul has no pleasure in him.

We are presently in a study of satan's cosmic system, a system of arrogant demonic thinking that is comprised of lies and deceit from demonic viewpoint that since the fall in the Garden of Eden, separated from God in the darkness of spiritual death has become the viewpoint of the entire human race. 1Cor 2:14; Rev 12:9;
Last time we concluded our study of satan's cosmic 1 system and started a study on satan's cosmic 2 system where disillusion from adversity metastasizes arrogance into hatred, hostility, and antagonism toward God, God's policy and God's plan.
The doctrine of cosmic two deals with quenching the Holy Spirit. In 1Thes 5:19; God's Word mandates that we "Stop quenching the Spirit."
Cosmic two is the function of the believer in apostasy under the principle of antagonism. Cosmic two is not only antagonistic toward God's Word, but also toward the laws of divine establishment and God's protocol plan for the Church Age.
Opposition to God starts with our Old Sin Nature infused body where we have a built-in system of animosity towards God. Rom 8:6-8;
The old sin nature is the primary source of temptation in life that comes from the corruption of the cell structure of the body because of our identity with Adam and his fall that is conveyed to us genetically.
There is internal temptation from the old sin nature and external temptation from satan, the demons, people and situations or circumstances of life in the devil's world.
Regardless of the source of temptation the source of sin is human volition. Being tempted is not sinful or evil. But to succumb to the temptation by using your own free will to make the choice to do what the temptation suggests is sin. 1John 3:4;
Human volition, the first law of divine establishment, functions as the guardian for the protection of the human soul against these assaults on volition.
The old sin nature occupies every cell of the human body, except the twenty-three chromosomes of the female ovum. The old sin nature residing in the body is the major source of temptation that is directed toward the volition of the soul.
When we succumb to temptation due to negative volition, the old sin nature controls our soul. God's Word describes this condition as being soulish translated "carnal" in the KJV. But when the old sin nature is not controlling the soul, the Holy Spirit who indwells the body controls the soul. Rom 7:14-25;
