John 14:6; Jesus said to him, "I am the way, and the truth, and the life; no one comes to the Father but through Me.

John 8:31-32; So Jesus was saying to those Jews who had believed Him, "If you continue in My word, then you are truly disciples of Mine; and you will know the truth, and the truth will make you free."

John 8:43-47; "Why do you not understand what I am saying? It is because you cannot hear My word.

v44 "You are of your father the devil, and you want to do the desires of your father. He was a murderer from the beginning, and does not stand in the truth because there is no truth in him. Whenever he speaks a lie, he speaks from his own nature, for he is a liar and the father of lies.

v45 "But because I speak the truth, you do not believe Me.

v46 "Which one of you convicts Me of sin? If I speak truth, why do you not believe Me?

v47 "He who is of God hears the words of God; the reason. you do not hear them, is because you are not of God." (You are of the devil)

We are presently in a study of satan's cosmic system, a system of arrogant demonic thinking that is comprised of lies and deceit from demonic viewpoint that since the fall in the Garden of Eden, separated from God in the darkness of spiritual death has become the viewpoint of the entire human race. 1Cor 2:14; Rev 12:9;

Last time we started a study on satan's cosmic 2 system where disillusion from adversity metastasizes cosmic 1 arrogance into hatred, hostility, and antagonism toward God, God's people, God's policy and God's plan.

The doctrine of cosmic two deals with quenching the Holy Spirit. In 1Thes 5:19; God's Word mandates that we "Stop quenching the Spirit."

Just before we stopped last time we noted that the old sin nature occupies every cell of the human body, except the twenty-three chromosomes of the female ovum. The old sin nature residing in the body is the major source of temptation that is directed toward the volition of the soul.

When we succumb to temptation due to negative volition, the old sin nature controls our soul. God's Word describes this condition as being soulish translated "carnal" in the KJV. But when the old sin nature is not controlling the soul, the Holy Spirit who indwells the body controls the soul. Rom 7:14-25;

Recovery from OSN control of the soul is made possible by the use of the rebound technique followed by positive volition to the perception, metabolization and application of God's Word of truth to life and circumstances. 1John 1:9; Gal 5:16;

We are continuously making decisions that determine if the old sin nature or the Holy Spirit will control our soul because these choices are the basis of our testimony in for or against God in the Angelic Conflict.

Even if you think, say, or do something you do not know to be a sin, you have still sinned from your own free will and therefore responsible. You wanted to do it so you did it whether you knew it was a sin or not.

Your volition gives the go-ahead to temptation resulting in the old sin nature establishing control of the soul. From God's viewpoint ignorance or insanity are no excuse, the only issue is the choice.

We see from this that while temptation can be internal or external, volition is the sole source of human sin.

This is why all personal sins were reserved for imputation to Christ on the cross. At physical birth every human except Jesus is condemned by the imputation of Adam's original sin to the genetically formed old sin nature, resulting in real spiritual death.

Personal sins are never imputed to the sinner. This means that we are spiritually dead because Adam sinned not because of our personal sin. This eliminates all arrogance related to the old sin nature as a factor in our relationship with God.

There are two categories of sin from human volition. The sins of cognizance where our volition is aware that a sin is committed and the sins of ignorance where our volition made the decision to sin but was unaware that it was a sin so the sin was committed in ignorance.

Both categories of sin make us equally guilty before the Lord and, as believers who are antagonistic toward God's plan. Since volition wanted to and did commit the sin, whether in ignorance or cognizance, the individual is responsible for every one of their sins.

There are two categories of humans whose temptations were overt due to the absence of an old sin nature, the original temptation of Adam and the woman in the garden and the temptations of Jesus in His unglorified humanity.

Because of the impeccability created by the virgin conception, He did not have an old sin nature and never used His volition to sin personally.

Since the original sin of Adam in the garden the old sin nature resides in the cell structure of the body resulting in spiritual death, this means that every cell propagated from Adam is contaminated or occupied by the old sin nature resulting in spiritual death. Rom 5:12;
