We are now in a brief study of the public lie and the false narrative that people who are living in satan's cosmic system create in their opposition to truth.
When we stopped last time we had noted that the public lie is an evil device that is used to eliminate rivals or enemies or those who stand in the way of some person or group's acquisition of power and approbation lust.
Those who create a public lie use a false narrative and communicate it to destroy. This tells us all we need to know about the democrats, the fake news media and the never Trumpers who are continuously manufacturing public lies about president Trump.
In the case of the king of Judah we saw that God brings terrible judgment on everyone who is involved with the public lie because they are all responsible for their rejection of the truth. Another example of this is found in:
Revelation 19:11-21; And I saw heaven opened, and behold, a white horse, and He who sat on it is called Faithful and True, and in righteousness He judges and wages war. 12 His eyes are a flame of fire, and on His head are many diadems; and He has a name written on Him, which no one knows except Himself.
13 He is clothed with a robe dipped in blood, and His name is called The Word of God. 14 And the armies which are in heaven, clothed in fine linen, white and clean, were following Him on white horses.
15 From His mouth comes a sharp sword, so that with it He may strike down the nations, and He will rule them with a rod of iron; and He treads the wine press of the fierce wrath of God, the Almighty.
16 And on His robe and on His thigh He has a name written, "KING OF KINGS, AND LORD OF LORDS." 17 Then I saw an angel standing in the sun, and he cried out with a loud voice, saying to all the birds which fly in midheaven, "Come, assemble for the great supper of God,
18 so that you may eat the flesh of kings and the flesh of commanders and the flesh of mighty men and the flesh of horses and of those who sit on them and the flesh of all men, both free men and slaves, and small and great."
19 And I saw the beast and the kings of the earth and their armies assembled to make war against Him who sat on the horse and against His army.
20 And the beast was seized, and with him the false prophet who performed the signs in his presence, by which he deceived those who had received the mark of the beast and those who worshiped his image; these two were thrown alive into the lake of fire which burns with brimstone.
21 And the rest were killed with the sword which came from the mouth of Him who sat on the horse, and all the birds were filled with their flesh.
Even those who are deceived by the manufacturers of the public lie are culpable for believing it because they want to believe it is true not because it is true. The public lie fits their narrative the truth refutes their narrative.
The New Testament description of the false narrative of the public lie is found in Rom 1:25; "For they exchanged the truth of God for the lie, and worshiped and served the creation rather than the Creator, who is blessed forever. Amen." Net notes 52 and 53;
Jesus tells us that satan is the source of the public lie. John 8:43-44; "Why do you not understand what I am saying? It is because you cannot accept My teaching.
v44 You are of your father the devil, and you want to do the desires of your father. He was a murderer from the beginning, and does not stand in the truth, because there is no truth in him. Whenever he speaks a lie, he speaks from his own nature; for he is a liar, and the father of lies."
The Pharisees refused to accept Jesus' teaching because they had believed satan's public lie and it had blinded their thinking to the point where they hated Jesus and could not accept Him or anything he said.
When there is no truth in you it is easy to proclaim the public lie because it is part of you and you identify with it. This means that if you accept and believe the public lie there is no place for the truth to reside in your thinking.
This is the same dynamic that is occurring in our country today. Their hatred for our president is so powerful that they have been blinded by their lie to the point where they are locked into their negative volition and they cannot and never will accept the truth.
2Thes 2:9-12; "The one whose coming is in accord with the activity of satan, with all power and miracles and false wonders, and with all the deception of wickedness for those who are perishing, because they do not receive the love of the truth so as to be saved. Net note 21
v10 And for this reason God sends upon them a deluding influence (or an activity of error) so that they might believe the lie,
v11 in order that they all may be judged who did not believe the truth, but took pleasure in wickedness."
v12 so that that all who did not believe the truth, but took pleasure in wickedness may be condemned. Net note 25
