Psalm 91:1-10; 1 He who dwells in the shelter of the Most High Will abide in the shadow of the Almighty.
2 I will say to the Lord, "My refuge and my fortress, My God, in whom I trust!"
3 For it is He who delivers you from the snare of the trapper And from the deadly pestilence.
4 He will cover you with His pinions, And under His wings you may seek refuge; His faithfulness is a shield and bulwark.
5 You will not be afraid of the terror by night, Or of the arrow that flies by day;
6 Of the pestilence that stalks in darkness, Or of the destruction that lays waste at noon.
7 A thousand may fall at your side And ten thousand at your right hand, But it shall not approach you.
8 You will only look on with your eyes And see the recompense of the wicked.
9 For you have made the Lord, my refuge, Even the Most High, your dwelling place.
10 No evil will befall you, Nor will any plague come near your tent..
Eph 6:10-18; Finally, be strong in the Lord and in the strength of His power.
11 Put on the full armor of God, so that you will be able to stand firm against the schemes of the devil.
12 For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the powers, against the world forces of this darkness, against the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly places.
13 Therefore, take up the full armor of God, so that you will be able to resist in the evil day, and having done everything, to stand firm.
14 Stand firm therefore, having girded your loins with truth, and having put on the breastplate of righteousness,
15 and having shod your feet with the preparation of the gospel of peace;
16 in addition to all, taking up the shield of faith with which you will be able to extinguish all the flaming arrows of evil.
17 And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God.
18 With all prayer and petition pray at all times in the Spirit, and with this in view, be on the alert with all perseverance and petition for all the saints,
We are presently in a study of the doctrine of evil that is the product of believing the false narrative of the public lie that satan, the god of this world, fabricates and raises up in opposition to truth and righteousness that are the product of believing the Person and Word of the Living God of the universe.
Last time we noted that satan seeks to frustrate God's plan for believers; by influencing their thinking Eph 4:14; their location, 1Thes 2:18; and their activity, James 4:7-8; 1Pet 5:6-10;
Satan especially seeks to keep believers from functioning under the filling of God the Holy Spirit inside of God's spiritual power system where they can learn how to deploy God's Word of truth against satan, John 8:31-32; Titus 2:11-14
Satan seeks to redirect the believer's focus by getting them occupied with other people, on themselves in self-pity, or on things by influencing the believer to think that God's logistical grace is insufficient instead of being completely focused on Jesus Christ and His Word of Truth. Eph 2:1-7;
Satan uses the believer's arrogance to keep them functioning in his cosmic system. His system is designed to distract believers with entertainment, improving the world with crusader arrogance, occupation with temporal solutions to man's problems, social action, the welfare state, socialist and communist economic policies, fear, and religion.
