Joshua 24:14-15; "Now, therefore, fear the Lord and serve Him in sincerity and truth; and put away the gods which your fathers served beyond the River and in Egypt, and serve the Lord.
15 "If it is disagreeable in your sight to serve the Lord, choose for yourselves today whom you will serve: whether the gods which your fathers served which were beyond the River, or the gods of the Amorites in whose land you are living; but as for me and my house, we will serve the Lord."
John 3:19-21;"This is the judgment, that the Light has come into the world, and men loved the darkness rather than the Light, for their deeds were evil.
20 "For everyone who does evil hates the Light, and does not come to the Light for fear that his deeds will be exposed.
21 "But he who practices the truth comes to the Light, so that his deeds may be manifested as having been wrought in God."
Matt 10:34-36; "Do not think that I came to bring peace on the earth; I did not come to bring peace, but a sword.
35 "For I came to set a man against his father, and a daughter against her mother, and a daughter-in-law against her mother-in-law;
36 and a man's enemies will be the members of his household.
1Corinthians 11:18-19; (NET) For in the first place, when you come together as a church I hear there are divisions among you, and in part I believe it.
19 For there must in fact be divisions among you, so that those of you who are approved may be evident.
Exodus 20:3-6; "You shall have no other gods before Me.
4 "You shall not make for yourself an idol, or any likeness of what is in heaven above or on the earth beneath or in the water under the earth.
5 "You shall not worship them or serve them; for I, the Lord your God, am a jealous God, visiting the iniquity of the fathers on the children, on the third and the fourth generations of those who hate Me,
6 but showing lovingkindness to thousands, to those who love Me and keep My commandments.
Every generation has to make a decision regarding whither they will follow God or satan and there are consequences for making the wrong decision for several generations. We see this generational test playing out for the third and fourth generation in the streets of our cities at this time.
Isaiah 3:12; Youths oppress my people, women rule over them. O my people, your teachers lie to you and tell you to go the wrong way.
We are presently in a study of the doctrine of evil that is the product of believing the false narrative of the public lie that satan, the god of this world, fabricates and asserts in his war against God's Word of truth. Eph 6:12; 2Cor 10:5;
We are presently noting the 9 gates that lead into the hatred of satan's cosmic two system. When we stopped last time we noted that you have to be preoccupied with yourself before you can be antagonistic toward doctrine in cosmic two.
This is antagonism is characterized by hatred that is directed toward everyone associated with the God, His Word, His policy and His system. This negative volition functions in three categories.
The first is negative volition at God-consciousness. This is the point of accountability that occurs at different ages depending on the culture. God-consciousness can occur in a number of ways.
Teleological thinking says a structure demands a designer. Cosmological thinking says the intuitive law of cause and effect demands the existence of God. Ontological thinking says that since the human mind possesses the idea of a perfect Being, such a Being must exist. There must be an absolute that gives character to the relative.
Anthropological thinking says that man's soul possesses both volition and conscience with an urge to choose right rather than wrong, and that the structure of society is based on the recognition of virtue and truth.
Theological thinking says that God must exist because men universally believe in His existence. Heathen are heathen because of negative volition at God-consciousness or Gospel hearing, Rom 1:18-25.
The second category of negative volition is negative volition at Gospel hearing. Rejection of Jesus Christ enters you into gate 1 of cosmic two, 1Cor 1:18; 2Cor 4:3-4; 2Pet 2:20-22;
The third category of negative volition is negative volition to God's Word of truth. Believers enter this gate when they reject the communicator or the doctrinal information that is being communicated.
A major cause of this negative volition is emotional arrogance.. 2Cor 6:11; "You are hindered by your own emotions." Emotion causes you to become selective in what you think and results in rejecting anything resembling truth and it also causes you misuse emotion by leaning on it for pleasure, Rom 16:17-18;
Cosmic degeneration occurs when you become antagonistic to truth you enter into a state of degeneracy. Degeneracy is in thought long before it is in actions. Rom 1:24-27; illustrates this, "they who exchange the doctrine of God for a lie."
Anti-establishment degeneration occurs when the soul is antagonistic to the laws of divine establishment and legitimate authority. 2Tim 3:2-3; teaches that this begins in the home with "disobedience to parents." This is ingrained antagonism toward authority. Rom 1:28-32; is a good illustration of anti- establishment degeneration..
God's Word of truth is rejected and exchanged for satan's cosmic panaceas that are man's attempts to improve the world apart from truth. Any solution to a problem that is sought apart from divine truth is a cosmic panacea.
Cosmic panaceas reject salvation by grace or spirituality by grace.
Instead of the pursuit freedom and the blessing by association that comes from the unequal prosperity that freedom creates, the arrogant demand social justice and equality.
"The end justifies the means" is the motto of cosmic two.
