The security of believers begins at the point of salvation through faith in Christ. At that moment they receive two major categories of security from God..
Eternal security related to the possession of eternal salvation as a work of God and guarantee that we shall spend eternity in the presence of God. John 10:28-29;
Temporal security which is related to the imputation of divine righteousness, forming a grace pipeline for the flow of logistical grace support. Phil 4;19; Rom 8:31;
The believer cannot earn, deserve, merit or work for either category of this security because it is supplied on the basis of grace alone.
Too often people relate security to happiness or to a change of circumstances instead of to freedom, and when that occurs it creates disaster. The leftist socialist totalitarians promote this lie using the rhetorical veil of hope and change and they have convinced too many citizens of client nation USA including many believers that their evil lie is true.
Like all other members of the human race, believers are the products of their own decisions so the decisions to live inside God's spiritual power system provides confidence in and love for God as a motivating virtue that also brings an awareness of the security from God alone.
On the other hand while the decision to live in satan's cosmic system cannot cancel God's gift of security because it is irrevocable it does cancel the believer's awareness of God's blessing of temporal and eternal security.
Believers who live in satan's cosmic system are uncertain of their security because they have no doctrine in their thinking.
Uncertain, insecure vacillating believers are unstable so they become easy targets for and generally succumb to the propaganda and lies of the leftist socialist totalitarians so they make the decision to exchange their freedom for the fake system of security the charlatans are offering so they become enslaved.
The philosophy of satan's cosmic system is the evil human good of socialism, communism and the welfare state. Socialism offers fake security in exchange for genuine freedom. God never overlooks the believer's security because spiritual freedom is the true issue in the angelic conflict. Gal 5:1;
Rev 2:11b; starts out with the articular present active participle from the verb "nikao," that means to be a winner, to be victorious, to conquer, or to overcome.

The believer's initial entrance into God's spiritual power system occurs at the point of salvation and, in this verse it is presented as and existing reality. The active voice: the individual believer in the Church Age and/or God's royal family as a group produces the action of being winners.
Rev 2:7; was addressed to the church at Ephesus where the emphasis was on perpetuation of the Christian life inside of God's system that creates momentum and maturity, and results in the conveyance reward in eternity.
Rev 2:11; that was addressed to the church at Smyrna the emphasis is on the initial victory at salvation when the believer initially enters Gods system, because not only is he a winner for the moment but at the same time he receives something he can never lose.
Believers can't throw it away by making bad decisions. Bad decisions are a cause of failure in life, and great unhappiness and misery in your life, but you can make wrong decisions as a Christian all of your life and you still cannot lose your salvation because it is based on God's immutable unfailing integrity love.
For the mature believers of Smyrna the reward is a decoration called the crown of life. Victory over satan's cosmic system begins at salvation with the initial entry into God's system with the indwelling, filling and teaching ministry of the Spirit.
At that moment in the dispensation of the Church Age every believer receives 40 grace gifts from God, and is entered into the aegis of God and His logistical grace, and starts out n the driver's seat inside God's power system. Gal 3:26-29;
