The book of Romans part 29

We are in a verse-by-verse study of the book of Romans and got through verses 1-6 with the expanded translation: Rom 1:1-6;

v1 "Paul, a slave of Christ Jesus, called an apostle, through having been appointed because of the Gospel from God."

v2 Which (This Gospel) He (God) promised in advance through His prophets in the holy Scriptures or writings"

v3 Concerning His (God's) Son who was born from the seed of David according to the flesh.

v 4"Who was marked out or selected by the divine decree the Son of God by means of power, according to the Holy Spirit, by means of resurrection from deaths of Jesus Christ the Lord."

v 5 "Through whom (the resurrected Christ) we have received grace and apostleship, for the purpose of obedience to doctrine among all nations, for the sake of his personal reputation."

v6 "Among whom also you are privileged royalty (kletos) of Jesus Christ."

This took us to the doctrine of election where last time we were noting that the privacy of the priesthood that permits the function of both positive volition toward doctrine plus the right to metabolize and apply that doctrine to one's own experience privately.

We noted that the only human dependence of the royal priesthood is God's provision of the pastor-teacher, and consistent positive volition under his communication. In that sense, a pastor is very much like a parent and should be honored, but not necessarily loved.

Your pastor should not bully you or intrude upon your privacy unless you intrude on someone else's privacy; his job is simply to objectively communicate and teach doctrine.

Bible teaching from your right pastor demands your faith perception, metabolization, and application of that teaching under the ministry of God the Holy Spirit to your own life as a royal priest.

Respect for God's protocol for the accurate communication of God's Word of truth is the only way for believers to advance in God's plan for their lives. Life in God's power system is not only spiritual freedom under the filling of the Spirit, but spiritual independence and autonomy within the sphere of the royal priesthood.

This means that as a believer-priest, you cannot fulfill God's protocol plan by attempting to advance to spiritual maturity on the basis of someone else's thinking, motivation, decisions, actions, advice, counseling, emotion, or even their leadership the only exception being dependence on the communication of your pastor-teacher.

This means you advance to spiritual maturity on your own under the ministry of God the Holy Spirit.

The first stage of spiritual adulthood is the spiritual self-confidence that is developed from spiritual self-esteem. This is achieved when you know how to advance spiritually on your own, and you no longer feel threatened by any of the outside pressures of adversity in life that can cause the inside pressures of stress from fear, worry, or anxiety.

The functions of the royal priesthood include but are not limited to the following.

Rebound that is the basic technique for the recovery of the filling ministry of God the Holy Spirit.

The royal priesthood includes a consistent prayer life.

It includes the perception, metabolization, and application of doctrine to your own experience (and if you're in authority, to the experience of those under your authority.)

It includes worship.

The royal priesthood also includes the sacrifices of life, such as praise, which is your doctrinal momentum resulting in the function of virtue-love in spiritual adulthood.

It develops a divine viewpoint mental attitude from metabolized doctrine. (What you think from metabolized doctrine is what matters if other people disagree it is irrelevant because metabolized doctrine is absolute truth. Since God and Jesus Christ are absolute truth, truth is all that matters.

The royal priest's job is not to change what other people think. The priest's job is to stand for the truth and to unwaveringly hold the ground of truth while waiting on God to vindicate the truth and He will when He is ready.

Royal priests are self-motivated from metabolized doctrine. Doctrine motivates you; you can't depend on someone else's leadership. If you depend on them, then you are borrowing from them and never works because it results in stifling your own motivation. If you are borrowing motivation you will not have any motivation when you are under the pressure from adversity.

Remember, your pastor is simply a communicator. He is not to be the leader of your social life or a "madam" of a lonely-hearts club. He is not a counselor nor is he a crutch to lean on. God the Holy Spirit and metabolized doctrine perform these functions.

Your priesthood demands that you autonomously live your own life as unto the Lord and take the responsibility for your own decisions. This is your equal privilege under election.

Election provides equal privilege and opportunity because God's righteousness and justice in accord with God's omniscience provides logistical grace support and blessing to every believer priest.

Two aspects of logistical grace come down to you through the grace pipeline from the justice of God to His indwelling righteousness in you. Logistical support is designed to sustain you. Logistical blessing is additional blessing, more than just support.

Both logistical grace support and blessing are provided for winners and losers alike, because both types of believers possess God's perfect righteousness. This is the basis for equal opportunity for every believer.
