In our verse by verse study of Romans last time we finished our Expanded Translation of Rom 7:15; ""For what I accomplish I do not understand: because what I desire to do, these things I am not accomplishing; but what I detest, these things I keep on doing."

In this verse we see a reference to either sinfulness without rebound or the reaction to that sinfulness by the OSN that results in the production of human good that metastasizes into human good and evil.

This production is the result of the "wife" in the second marriage returning to the ex-husband, the old sin nature, because what the sin nature is recommending sounds better to her than the Bible Doctrine that second husband, the Lord Jesus Christ is recommending.

The linear action indicates that the believer is consistent in following the trends of the old sin nature, rather than following the authority of the Lord Jesus Christ.

Obedience to imputed righteousness for the production of experiential righteousness demands consistent perception of God's Word of Truth under the filling ministry of God the Holy Spirit from rebound when necessary.

The verse describes the successful attack of the ex-husband on the believer's volition. The culprit is the believer with negative volition who wants to believe the sin nature's propaganda and lies.

The OSN has overcome the determination of the believer by leading him into activity that he does not understand and he often despises, but in spite of that continues to do it because of the rejection the filling of God the Holy Spirit from the rejection of rebound that causes the believer to reject God's Word of Truth that is the thinking of Jesus Christ.

Therefore, the attack of the ex-husband succeeds to separate the believer from the believer operating under logistical grace. The believer who is separated from God's provision of logistical grace has no defense against the seductive deceitful lies that are suggested by the ex-husband because they think they are on their own.

This means the use of rebound is necessary in order keep on being filled with the Spirit and under the filling and teaching ministry of God the Holy Spirit. The daily function of GASP is necessary because it provides all of the information that is needed for the believer to make the advance.

To do and to keep on doing the things you do not want to do is an obvious warning of the inner conflict between the two husbands and it also irrational.

The first husband is the old sin nature, and though divorced through retroactive positional truth it desperately continues its activity inside of every believer. He is trying to seduce and deceive the believer to return to his authority and into the deceptive trends of sin, good, and evil.

The second husband, the Lord Jesus Christ, is standing by waiting to provide the most fantastic blessings from maturity adjustment to God's justice.

Choosing to experientially place yourself under orders to Jesus Christ, the second husband through the daily function of GASP is to turn away from temporary stimulation and the fake happiness of the devil's world into a perfect, temporal and eternal happiness provided by God's justice because of the imputation of God's righteousness.

There is no way for the believer to break out of the dilemma apart from the filling of the Holy Spirit and the daily function of GASP. Only the filling of the Spirit and Bible Doctrine resident in the soul's stream of consciousness can break the power and the influence of the old sin nature in physical human life.

While instant provision for sin is provided through rebound there is no instant or immediate solution to function in human good and evil because that requires a change of thinking from maximum doctrine resident in the believer's stream of consciousness that only comes from consistent persistent function under God's GASP system.

Rom 7:16; "But If do what I don't want" The conditional particle "ei" (if) introduces the protasis of a first class condition. This is a first class condition of if that assumes the viewpoint of reality. Then the postpositive transitional particle "de" (but) so we have "but if."

Plus the present active indicative from the verb "poieo"(do) in the descriptive present tense that describes something that is happening at the present time so we have "but if I keep doing."

This is a way of describing linear action in present time. The active voice: the carnal, fleshly, or reversionistic believer produces the action of the verb under the influence/authority of the old sin nature, the ex-husband.

The indicative mood is declarative describing the verbal action from the standpoint of reality. This sets up the protasis of a first class condition of if. Then the accusative neuter singular direct object from the demonstrative pronoun "houtos"(this) referring to something that is close.

The neuter gender here refers to what immediately precedes. "Now if I keep doing this " Plus the nominative neuter singular from the relative pronoun "hos" (what) that describes the dilemma described in this verse.

Then the present active indicative of "thelo" (want or desire) plus the negative "ou" (not) "I do not want." The present tense is a customary present that describes what occurs what happens to the believer who is under the evil influence of the OSN in the status of carnality or reversionism.

The active voice: the negative "ou" indicates the correct attitude of the believer toward the desires of the second husband, the Lord Jesus Christ. He desires to please the second husband. The indicative mood is declarative, representing the verbal action from the viewpoint of reality. "Now if I keep on doing the thing that I do not want to do."

"I agree" the present active indicative from "sumphemi" (sun = with; phemi = to speak in agreement or consent) "I agree" This is the perfective present tense describing what occurs in the past that is emphasized as a present reality.

The fact that the truth of the Mosaic Law has existed in the past and it is now emphasized as a present reality. The active voice: the believer produces the action through application of Bible Doctrine. The declarative indicative mood describes it from the standpoint of reality.

"that the Law is good" the definite article "ho" (the) with the noun "nomos" (Law) that refers specifically to the Mosaic Law because it is monadic.

Followed by a conjunction, "hoti" (that) providing what is agreed with. Plus the implied present tense of "eimi" (is), the verb to be with the predicate nominative singular from "kalos" (good).

"kalos" (good) is the word for good but it is not "agathos" divine (good) that describes something that is intrinsically good "kalos" is good in the sense of describing a quality that corresponds with a specific purpose. "Kalos" (good) has several translations including noble, praiseworthy, or advantageous.

Expanded Translation Rom 7:17; "Now if I keep doing this thing that I do not desire to do, I agree with the law that it is noble."

This verse explains that a standard of reference is necessary to break through the gloomy enigma of contradictions in the life of the unbeliever who has to make a choice between the old sin nature and the Lord Jesus Christ. In the unbeliever the battle is engaged between the old sin nature and God the Holy Spirit, the new marriage counselor.

The standard that draws the distinction between them is the Mosaic Law that is marriage counselor of the marriage to the sin nature at biological human birth.

The emphasis is placed on the 10 commandments that emphasize the problem of the first marriage, and the ritual plan that emphasizes the solution of the problem of the first marriage through salvation by believing in Jesus Christ.

Once the solution of faith in Jesus Christ has been accepted the battle between the two husbands begins. There is no battle as long as there is only one husband, but retroactive positional truth divorces believers from the old sin nature, the first husband, and simultaneously marries us to Jesus Christ, the second husband, through the baptism of the Spirit that results in current positional truth.

In this battle we have God the Holy Spirit as a new marriage counselor but we never disagree with the information that comes from of the old marriage counselor, the Mosaic Law. We still recognize that the Mosaic Law is from God so it is perfect, having a perfect design. It is has a limited function but in that specific application it is perfect. The information the Mosaic Law provides about sin, good, and evil is correct and accurate.

Therefore we do not reject the standards of the Law under the ministry of the Holy Spirit, but we use these standards to define the sin we must acknowledge to God and to alert us with regard to good and evil as a part of the assault of the sin nature on the Christian way of life. So when the believer keeps sinning or succumbs to human good and evil he recognizes the nobility and the advantage of the Mosaic Law in defining what he does not want to do.

God the Holy Spirit as the new marriage counselor uses the standard of reference of the Mosaic Law to define sinfulness for the purpose of rebound and to define human good and evil that must be avoided through separation.

The Mosaic Law also defines divine principles of Divine Establishment that counteract both human good and evil. Patriotism is the Christian function under Divine Establishment, but socialism, communism, and the welfare state that are rooted in covetousness, jealousy and envy are the human good and evil that the sin nature promotes are satan the devil's policies for mankind.

The establishment code of the Mosaic Law (freedom, marriage, family, and nationalism continue to relate the believer to Divine Establishment and separate the believer from the function of human good and evil.

When the believer sins from his own volition he is doing something incompatible with his new marriage to Jesus Christ so he is doing something he does not desire to do.

Therefore, he agrees to the advantage of the Law in defining that sin, and he also agrees to the advantage of the Law in defining establishment, so that the trends of the old sin nature can be avoided through the power of the filling of God the Holy Spirit.

Therefore the law is advantageous to the believer even though the Mosaic Law is no longer the marriage counselor for the believer in Jesus Christ.

Rom 7:17; "But now it is no longer me doing it." The first word is the adverb of time, "nuni" (now). When this is combined with the postpositive particle "de" (but) it becomes an idiom, so "nuni de" is literally, "But now."

It is an idiom that should be translated "But as the case really stands." The next two words are "ouketi ego". "Ouket" (no longer) is used logically rather than temporally so it means "no longer" plus the nominative singular subject "ego" (I or me).

Next is the present active indicative of "katergazomai" (to do, achieve, to accomplish, work out, or perform). In this case we will translate it "perform." This is an iterative present that describes what repeatedly recurs at successive intervals.
