The book of Romans part 310; spirituality

In our study of Romans we are between chapters 7 and 8 in a topical study of spirituality.

Last time we noted that it is the filling of the Spirit that distinguishes between the believer's production of divine good from the production of dead human good works. Any good thing done without the filling of the Spirit is classified by God as a dead human good work.

The spiritual believer produces divine good that is classified as "gold, silver, and precious stones" in 1Cor 3:12,14. The carnal cosmic believer produces dead works that is classified as "wood, hay, and stubble" in 1Cor 3:12,15.

The filling of the Holy Spirit distributes epignosis spirit taught Bible doctrine to the various compartments of the believer's heart, the right lobe of the soul.

The filling of the Holy Spirit also recalls doctrine from the soul's memory center into the soul's frame of reference, so that new doctrine can be built upon doctrines that have already been learned. This is why the filling of the Holy Spirit is necessary to properly understand and learn Bible doctrine.

The Filling of the Holy Spirit results in the believer functioning in following activities:

Residence, momentum, and function inside of God's spiritual power system under the enabling power of the Spirit that can be classified as the Church Age believer functioning in partnership with the Holy Spirit, Eph 4:3-4; Phil 2:2.

Cognition of doctrine, John 14:26; John 16:12-14; 1Cor 2:9-16;

Imitation of the humanity of Jesus Christ as He functioned in the dispensation of the Hypostatic Union, Eph 5:1; Gal 4:19; 5:22-23;

The glorification of Christ in the body, John 7:39; John 16:14; 1Cor 6:19-20;

Christ being manifested and magnified in the inner life of the believer, Eph 3:16-17; 2Cor 3:3; Phil 1:20-21;

Guidance and assurance from God's Word regarding God's protocol plan for your life, Rom 8:14-16;

The true function of worship in God's Royal Family, the church, the Body of Christ, John 4:24; Phil 3:3.

The production of divine good, 1Cor 3:12-14; that results in; effective witnessing, Acts 1:8; and effective prayer, Eph 6:18.

Without the filling of the Holy Spirit, there can be no contentment, no personal sense of destiny, no occupation with Christ, and therefore no tranquility in life.

Under the law of volitional responsibility, grieving and quenching the Holy Spirit guarantees a life of self-induced misery that results in eight principles of unhappiness that are caused by the failure to be filled with the Spirit.

If you are not content with what you have now, you will never be content with what you have in the future. Contentment is based on the filling of the Holy Spirit and inculcation of Bible doctrine so you cannot have contentment without the filling of the Holy Spirit and inculcation of Bible doctrine. Luke 11:28;

Contentment is based on capacity for life from Bible doctrine and the filling of the Holy Spirit. Contentment is not based on human success, prosperity, or wealth it depends on our cognizance of who we are and what God does for us.

Discontentment metastasizes into malcontentment. If every wish, dream, and desire of your soul were given to you without the filling of the Spirit and Bible doctrine, you would still be miserable because you still don't have capacity to appreciate it.

True happiness in life only comes from capacity for life. Capacity for life and happiness depends on the filling of the Holy Spirit and cognition of Bible doctrine. A facet of the " fruit of the Spirit is happiness." Gal 5:22;

God provides capacity for life and happiness at each stage of the believer's spiritual advance and growth through the filling of the Spirit and metabolized epignosis doctrine in the heart of believer's soul.

Progress in God's protocol plan means that the filling of the Holy Spirit balances the capacity for what you possess with what you possess so you can enjoy what you possess.

Capacity for life increases with spiritual advance. Capacity for life comes from the filling of the Spirit combined with metabolized spirit taught epignosis doctrine in the heart, the right lobe of the soul.

We see from this that there are alternatives in life that are based in the decisions that we make: We can choose to believe in Jesus Christ for eternal salvation John 3:16; or we can choose not to believe and spend eternity in the Lake of Fire John 3:18, 36;

We can make Bible doctrine our number one priority in life or live a life in ignorance of God's Word of Truth. Ignorance is biggest problem of human biological soul life in the devil's world.

We can get under the ministry of a pastor who teaches Bible doctrine and acquire the spiritual skills (the filling of the Spirit, cognition of doctrine, and execute God's protocol plan) or live a life of confusion and disillusionment and fail to glorify God. Mankind is not designed to live without Jesus Christ and God's Word of Truth.

We can learn the problem solving devices of God's protocol plan and how to use them or live a life of misery and unhappiness because we have no capacity for life.

We can choose to die well under dying grace because we have a personal sense of destiny from God's plan or to die under dying discipline and maybe even the sin unto death from our rejection of our personal sense of destiny.

It is imperative that we understand the distinctions between the indwelling of the Spirit and the filling of the Holy Spirit because the function of the indwelling and the function of the filling of the Holy Spirit are not the same.

The indwelling of the Holy Spirit functions inside the human body and is permanent and irrevocable. The filling of the Spirit functions inside of the human spirit with the human soul and is transient or temporary because it is conditional.

The purpose of the indwelling of the Holy Spirit is to provide a temple in our bodies for the indwelling of Jesus Christ as God's Shekinah Glory for God's Royal Family. This is the same Shekinah glory that resided in Israel's tabernacle and the temple.

The indwelling of the Spirit is related to the believer's body and taught in 1Cor 3:16; 1Cor 6:19-20; and 2Cor 6:16.

Jesus Christ indwells our bodies as the Shekinah Glory, as a guarantee of God's blessing. He could not indwell our bodies where the old sin nature resides unless God the Holy Spirit provided a temple for Him so when we are born again the Holy Spirit creates a temple in our bodies for the residence of God' the Son.

The indwelling of the Holy Spirit is directed toward God and it is permanent so it is not affected by the believer's temporal transient experiential status in carnality or spirituality. Every believer is always indwelled by the Holy Spirit regardless of their experiential status.

The words translated "unction" and "anointing" in various translations of the Bible are synonymous with the "indwelling" of the Holy Spirit, not the filling ministry or the baptism ministry of the Spirit.

The indwelling of the Holy Spirit breaks the uninterrupted rule of the old sin nature experientially through the function of current positional truth, just as the baptism of the Holy Spirit breaks the old sin nature's uninterrupted rule positionally through the momentary application of retroactive and current positional truth, Gal 5:17.

On the other hand, the filling of the Holy Spirit is related to the believer's residence in God's spiritual power system, and the function of God's power in believer's soul.

When the Holy Spirit controls the believer's soul, that believer is described as being filled with the Spirit and that is one of the meanings of being spiritual.

When the believer is filled with the Spirit he is operating inside or God's spiritual power system that is another meaning of being spiritual.

We see from this that the indwelling of the Spirit relates to the believer's body and the filling of the spirit relates to the believer's soul and the ability to deploy and operate in God's power from the function of God's spiritual power system.

The purpose for the filling of the Holy Spirit is to provide the believer the enabling power for the execution of God's protocol plan through consistent PMA of spirit taught epignosis Bible doctrine.

Just as the enabling power of the Holy Spirit is necessary for common and efficacious grace in salvation the enabling power of the Holy Spirit is required for the cognition of God's Word of Truth that is necessary to function in and execute God's protocol plan.

Believers cannot do anything in God's plan apart from the filling of the Spirit because God's plan is spiritual.

The filling of the Spirit is directed toward the believer's weak humanity. It is how God conveys the potential to deploy His power through weak human beings. 2Cor 12:9-10;

The filling of the Spirit is temporary or transient, depending on whither God the Holy Spirit or sin nature experientially controls the believer's soul at any given moment.

Post-salvation sinning removes the believer from God's spiritual power system where he is no longer filled with the Spirit. Acknowledgment of known personal sins to God as described in 1John 1:9; is the recovery procedure whereby the believer recovers the filling of the Spirit and reenters God's spiritual power system.

The filling of the Holy Spirit inside of God's spiritual power system is the enabling power that combines with epignosis Bible doctrine for the execution of God's plan, will, and purpose for each believer's life. Since God is perfect and His plan is perfect, His plan demands God's perfect power to use it.

There are two basic experiential concepts by which God's protocol plan is executed. The absolute concept that is the filling of the Holy Spirit and the relative concept that is spiritual growth and spiritual momentum from the PMA of Bible doctrine inside of God's spiritual power system.

Believers who do not understand or use Gods' system to recover spirituality remain in a state of carnality where they develop a system of pseudo spirituality based on the spiritually dead human works of legalism asceticism, ritualism and emotionalism.

However human works does not accomplish spirituality because the filling of the Spirit is not the work of man; it is exclusively the work of God. It is the only means whereby we can acquire God's omnipotent power to execute God's perfect protocol plan.

Different authors of scripture use different words to describe the filling of the Spirit. We see Paul's vocabulary in Gal 5:16, "Walk by means of the Spirit." and Eph 5:18, "Keep on being filled with the Spirit." John's vocabulary in 1John 1:7, "walk in the light." Peter's vocabulary in 2Pet 1:4; "partakers of the divine nature."

The believer's confidence regarding the filling of the Spirit comes from understanding, believing and complying with the relevant doctrine, 1John 2:20-21; 1John 3:20-21.

God's Word documents the difference between spirituality and carnality. 2Cor 3:17-18; "Now the Lord is the Spirit; and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is freedom. But we all, with an unveiled face seeing as in a mirror the glory of the Lord, are being transformed into the same image from glory to glory, as it were from the Lord the Spirit."

"The Lord the Spirit" means that God the Holy Spirit is God. The Spirit of the Lord is inside God's spiritual power system, not inside the Mosaic Law. This is why there is spiritual freedom inside God's spiritual power system but not in the Mosaic Law.

The Church Age believer has an unveiled face so they can learn and understand the mystery doctrine of the Church Age that was hidden from Old Testament believers.

As the believer listens to the communication of God's Word by the pastor teacher Jesus Christ becomes their best friend, and they move into the status of occupation with Christ.

This is seeing the glory of the Lord in a mirror from learning Bible doctrine. The Lord's glory is seen and understood from Bible doctrine.

When we study God's Word daily we are transformed into the same image as that of our Lord Jesus Christ in His perfect unglorified humanity.

"From glory to glory" refers to going from the glory of the Spirit filled humanity of Christ in the prototype version of God's spiritual power system to the glory of the Spirit-filled mature believer who executes God's protocol plan inside of the operational version of God's spiritual power system.
