In our last class we completed our expanded translation of Romans 8 so today we will read through it.

Expanded Translation Rom 8:1; "Now therefore there is no judgment to those who are in Christ Jesus."

Expanded Translation Rom 8:2; "For the principle of the Spirit (ministry of the Spirit at salvation) who is the source of eternal life has set you free in Christ Jesus from the principle of the sin nature and resultant spiritual death."

Rom 8:3 Expanded Translation "For what was impossible from the law, because it was weak through the flesh (OSN and the first marriage), the God by having sent his own Son (the deity of Christ) in the likeness of the flesh of sin (perfect humanity of Christ), and for a sin offering (the work of Christ on the cross), judged the sin nature in the flesh:"

Expanded Translation Rom 8:4; "so that the legal requirement of the Law might be filled up in us, who keep walking not according to the flesh, but according to the Spirit."

Rom 8:5; Expanded Translation: "For those believers who are dominated by the old sin nature keep thinking abut the things of the old sin nature; but those believers who are dominated by the Holy Spirit keep thinking about the things of the Spirit."

Expanded Translation Rom 8:6; "Consequently the thought pattern of the old sin nature is dead; but the thought pattern of the Spirit (from Bible doctrine resident in the soul) is life (capacity for life) and prosperity."

Expanded Translation Rom 8:7; "Because the thought pattern of the old sin nature is hostile toward God, because it is not subordinate to God's policy."

Expanded Translation Rom 8:8; "In addition they who are in the flesh (under the authority of the OSN) are not able to please God."

Expanded Translation Rom 8:9; "In fact you are not in the flesh, but in the Spirit, since the Spirit of God dwells in you. In fact if anyone (unbeliever) does not have Spirit from Christ (God the Holy Spirit), he (the unbeliever) does not belong to Him."

Expanded Translation Rom 8:10; "In fact if Christ is in you, on the one hand the body is dead (carnal or reversionistic death) because of the sin nature; but on the other hand the Spirit is life because of imputed righteousness."

Expanded Translation Rom 8:11; "Now if the Spirit from Him (God the Father) who has raised up Jesus from deaths (spiritual and physical) indwells you (and He does), he who raised Christ Jesus from deaths will also make alive your mortal bodies through the agency of his Spirit who resides in you."

Expanded Translation Rom 8:12; "Therefore, brethren, we are NOT obligated to the old sin nature, that we should live according to the old sin nature."

Expanded Translation Rom 8:13: "if you live under the authority of the old sin nature, you are destined to die (maximum discipline), but if by means of the Spirit you recognize as dead the deeds of the body (sin, human good and evil from the OSN), you will live."

Expanded Translation Rom 8:14; "For as many as are being led by the Spirit of God, these are mature sons of God."

Expanded Translation Rom 8:15; "For you have not received again a life of slavery for the purpose of fear; but you have received the Spirit of adoption, by which we keep shouting, Abba, the Father."

Expanded Translation Rom 8:16; "The Spirit himself testifies together with our human spirit, that we are children of God."

Expanded Translation Rom 8:17; "Now if we are children, we are also heirs; on the one hand heirs of God the Father, and on the other hand fellow-heirs with Christ; if indeed we suffer with maturity status, that we might also be glorified together."

Expanded Translation Rom 8:18; "For I conclude that the sufferings of the present period of time are not comparable to the glory that is to be revealed face to face to us.

Expanded Translation Rom 8:19; "For the confident expectation of the material universe waits eagerly for the revealing of the sons of the God."

Expanded Translation Rom 8:20; "For the creation (the material universe) was subordinated to futility against its own will, but because of him (God the Father) who has subordinated it on the basis of hope (the second advent)."

Expanded Translation Rom 8:21; "That the creation also will be set free from the slavery to the corruption into the freedom of the glory with reference to the children of the God."

Expanded Translation Rom 8:22; "For we know that the entire creation groans along with us and suffers the pains of child birth together with us until the present time."

Expanded Translation Rom 8:23; "And not only nature, but ourselves also, though possessing the firstfruits from the Spirit, even we ourselves groan within ourselves, eagerly anticipating the adoption, the redemption (resurrection) of our body."

Expanded Translation Rom 8:24; "For with reference to that future hope we have been saved: but when a hope is seen it is not hope: who hopes for what he sees?"

Expanded Translation Rom 8:25; "But if we hope (possess confident expectation) for what we do not see (and we do), then through patient perseverance we wait in eager anticipation.

Expanded Translation Rom 8:26; "And also in the same way the Spirit himself gives a helping hand to our weaknesses: for we do not know how to pray as we should: but the Spirit himself intercedes with groanings too deep for words."

Expanded Translation Rom 8:27; "He (God the Father) who keeps searching the hearts knows what the thinking of the Spirit is, because according to God he makes intercession in behalf of saints (maturing believers)."

Expanded Translation Rom 8:28; "We know in fact that to those who love the God (mature believers), all things work together for the purpose of good to those who are the called ones according to the predetermined plan."

Expanded Translation Rom 8:29;"We know that whom he foreknew, he also foreordained (predestined) conformed ones to the image of his Son, that he would be the firstborn with many brothers."

Expanded Translation Rom 8:30; "And whom he (predestined through the decree), the same ones he also called (elected): and whom he called, the same ones he also justified: and whom he justified, the same ones he also glorified."

Expanded Translation Rom 8:31; "Therefore face to face with these things, to what conclusion are we forced? If the God is for us, who is against us?"

Expanded Translation Rom 8:32; "The God who did not even spare his own Son, but on behalf of all of us he delivered him over to judgment, how will he not also with him give us the all things."

Expanded Translation Rom 8:33; "Who will bring accusation against God's elect? God is the one who justifies (vindicates)."

Expanded Translation Rom 8:34; "Who is the one who condemns? Christ Jesus is the one having died, yes rather, having been raised, who is at the right hand of God, who also intercedes for us."

Expanded Translation Rom 8:35; "Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Shall tribulation (circumstantial pressure, historical disaster), or anguish (mental pressure), or persecution, or famine, or nakedness (deprivation from necessities), or danger (physical or natural catastrophe), or sword (crime, violence, or military disaster)?"

Expanded Translation Rom 8:36; "As it stands written, For your sake we are being put to death the whole day (the reign of Nero), we have been considered as sheep for slaughter."

Expanded Translation Rom 8:37; "But in spite of all these things we win the supreme victory through Him (God the Father) who loves us."

Expanded Translation Rom 8:38; "So I stand convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor rulers of angels, neither present things nor future things, nor powers (the power of evil organizations)."

Expanded Translation Rom 8:39; "nor height nor depth nor any other created thing shall have the power to separate us from the love of the God (God the Father), which is in Christ Jesus our Lord."
